Teachers of writing workshop are dedicated to on-going learning and revision of their practices. There are many important components to writing workshop and decisions to make to create a learning environment that is responsive to individual students and an authentic and supportive writing community for all young writers. While this work is exciting in that it provides teachers with autonomy and values educators as professionals who engage in research, learning communities, and reflective practices, it also requires support.
